INTENT: Every leader and staff member at Silvertrees Academy is dedicated to shaping young lives now so they can build bright and fulfilling futures. We want every child at Silvertrees to develop a strong sense of identity and self-worth that will give them the confidence and resilience to succeed in an ever changing and demanding world. We will give children the knowledge and skills to be happy and healthy; to keep themselves safe and be physically and mentally healthy. They will develop the skills to form healthy relationships in our modern world. Our children will know how to make the right choices but will also be aware of their rights and have the confidence to say no! As an infant school we want our children to see the awe and wonder of the world around them; to be excited, to explore and be part of a wider community. To understand the richness of our diverse community and embrace and celebrate differences. We aim to actively promote British values in school to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
