• Year 1 Had a super trip to Llandudno

  The children enjoyed building sandcastles, searching for shells and best of all paddling in the sea.  We all laughed at Mrs Perry chasing the seagulls away with a spade!

  Year 2 had a wonderful day on the Severn Valley Railway trip.  Learning about life in the Second World War.

  

• Year 2 Bug Hotel

  Year 2 have been learning all about habitats and made a super Bug Hotel, have a look at it on the field area.

  

• Year 1 had lots of fun learning how to play tennis

  Today the sports coaches came in to teach Year 1 the different skills you need to play tennis. They even left us with an invite for you to go along to Tipton Sport academy to join in with the fun!

• The Hobbit

  This week children had the opportunity to see a  production of the story classic 'The Hobbit' performed by M&M productions.  The experience was magical and children were entranced by the world created by the excellent performers.

• EYFS new Deputy Head teacher

  We would like to welcome Mr Adrian Hickman to Silvertrees Academy.  He has already met some parents in the playground before school and is busy getting to know all of our children.  Mr Hickman has lots of experience in a variety of schools and is passionate about the education of our youngest children.  We are excited to have a new member of the team who will help us to create our vision for Early Years at Silvertrees.

• Sports Relief Week

  We are taking part in the 'Daley Challenge' each day to raise money for Sport Relief.  Children have five challenges to completed 1 each day and if they complete the challenge they will ask for a 20p donation. All funds will be collected and we will let you know how much money we raise. 

• Silvertrees Mile

  The sun came out and children were able to run,jump,skip and giant stride our Silvertrees Mile today!  Thank you for your generous sponsorship of the children and their tremendous efforts.  We are collecting funds to start work on our science patch shortly.  

  

• Year 2 enjoyed learning all about the history of our local area with the Dudley Canal Trust.
