  • Operation Christmas Child

    WOW! I would like to say a BIG thank you to all the parents and carers for their donations for the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. Last week, the school council helped me sort through the donations we received and we were able to fill a fantastic 18 shoe boxes for children across the world. 

    Thank you once again for all your support.

It was fantastic to see so many of you and to talk to you about the exciting learning journey your child will be part of this year. Thank you for the wonderful and positive feedback you gave.   • Our Elected School Helpers for 2018 - 2019

    Congratulations to all of the children who were elected by their friends this year.  We now have a super group of children who are proud representatives of all the children at Silvertrees and form our School Council. We also have a new 'Playground Buddy' team who are special friends during break times and new members of the 'Tidy Up Team' who do a fantastic job of helping staff to keeping our school tidy. Thank you to all the parents who attended our Congratulations assembly were the children received their caps and badges this year.

    Our Sandwell Leisure coach Andy says, ' Wow how great you all look in your smart new kit!  Now everyone can do P.E and keep active inside and out'.  'You really do look like a Silvertrees Team and how lucky you are to have a track suit too'.  We are proud to ensure all children now can take part in this important part of the curriculum helping them to keep physically active, learning lots of skills and having the opportunity to experience different sports through the year. 
  • Year 1 Black Country Toy Museum Visitors

    Year 1 enjoyed going back in time to see lots of toys used by children in the past.  They worked hard in teams to make a toy vehicle.  Well done Year 1!  Our visitors from the museum thought you were amazing!
  • New Reception Unit

    All the children have settled into the new unit and are enjoying the inside and outside learning opportunities.
  • KS1 children did a fab job on their Litter walk

    This morning our School Council, buddies and tidy-up team took part in a Litter Watch Walk. The children went down Silvertrees Road and up Manor Road collecting all of the litter that was on the street outside our school. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up our streets.
