Summer 2 Week 3

This week we will continue to apply Phase 3 sounds using ‘Polly Phonics’

Last week you practised the following sounds:

This week we will be recapping the following sounds:

 

air   er

Monday –

 

Use the PowerPoint in the resources at the bottom of the page to recap all of the Phase 2 and Phase 3 sounds.

After you have done this, use the tricky word PowerPoint to recap tricky words. How many can you remember?

Before we start…you will need a pencil and some paper OR you can use your writing book.

Challenge – Choose one word that you identified from the fish to write a sentence about

Challenge – Be a brilliant blender-

Ask a grown up to be the robot and sound out words around the room-
can you blend the sounds they say to find out what they are saying?

E.g Grown up would say – ch-air – what is it?

 

Friday –

Today we are going to practise our segmenting to spell words.

Challenge – Be a super segmenter

Ask a grown up to name words for you to segment and write them down

E.g Grown up would say – shed- You would segment to spell – sh-e-d

Top
