This week we are going to be revisiting the split digraphs from Phase 5.
Monday 1st June:
Focus sound – a-e
Read the a-e words below and then practise writing them adding your sound buttons.

Practise writing these words in your books. Can you think of a sentence using one or more of these words?
Visit Phonics Play and play Buried Treasure, reading and sorting the real and nonsense a-e words.
Challenge: Can you write down all of the other graphemes that you can think of that also make the a-e sound? Try to think of a word for each sound you can think of. Remember to take a picture to send us to show us your fantastic work.
Tuesday 2nd June:
Focus sound – e-e
Read the e-e words below and then practise writing them adding your sound buttons.

Visit Phonics Play, click on resources, Phase 5 and scroll down to find the investigating igh resources. Click on the phoneme spotter. Read through it carefully and see how many different i-e words you can find. You can also complete the word sorting activity if you want to.
